As CEO of Keter Group, Alejandro Pena leads a global team of 5,000 employees. Following Pena’s leadership, Keter Group manufactures sustainable, resin-based outdoor and indoor consumer items that are sold in over 100 countries.
During his tenure, Alejandro Pena has led Keter Group’s transformation from a family-owned business to a premier worldwide consumer products manufacturer.
Alejandro Pena joined the Keter Group in 2017. He has 25 years of consumer product experience and a proven track record of reliable revenue growth and higher profitability, making him a great fit for the Keter Group.
Pena was formerly Keter Group’s North America market managing director, tasked with expanding the firm’s biggest, fastest-growing market. These achievements in that role led to his 2018 appointment as the company’s chief executive officer. Since then, Pena has steadily delivered year-over-year growth and company profitability.
Alejandro Pena’s primary focus now is on Keter Group’s consistent product innovation and profitability. Recognizing the power of digital marketing, Pena himself leads the company’s omnichannel marketing strategy that integrates multiple distribution channels for valuable industry and company content.
Pena has also implemented business operations that respect the environment. Operating with a circular economy mindset, Pena has the company consistently using recycled materials in all its resin-based products. Keter Group is the industry’s biggest user of post-industrial and post-consumer industrial plastics in its manufacturing processes and strives to adhere to all environmental, social, and corporate governance protocols.
Prior to joining Keter Group, Alejandro Pena first worked at Rubbermaid, where he gained useful product management and branding experience. Next, he joined Sunbeam, a respected consumer product company that later became the industry-leading Jarden Consumer Solutions. Here, he successfully managed the company’s brands throughout North America.
Pena graduated with a Bachelor of Science in industrial engineering from Universidad de Los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia, and later earned his marketing-focused MBA from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin.
